I had such a great first senior session with Gabe! I say the first session because I am lucky enough to meet up with this handsome young man again this fall! One of the great things about being one of my senior reps, is I give those seniors the option to split their sessions into multiple days. This gives you the option of extra looks or different seasons! It’s also great because now he has his summer session back early and can start showing it off and gives him extra time to earn those senior rep referrals! If you are interested in becoming a Senior Rep for Lori Pickens Photography in West Virginia, you can learn more here. (You’ll find the Senior Rep info near the bottom).
I knew Gabe and I would hit it off when his mom told me he was planning to major in computer information systems and then later in Software Engineering! (Us computer geeks have to stick together!) He is also a 2023 senior at my alma matter of Parkersburg South High School.
As with a lot of engineering types, Gabe said he sometimes felt awkward posing in front of the camera, but we quickly found that he was totally himself when talking and telling stories. Not only is he a computer and history buff, but he is a darn good storyteller too. So I was well entertained throughout our session AND it made for some great candid and relaxed photos!
We started out downtown at Point Park, walked along the river, and then headed over to the front of Blennerhasset Hotel (always decorated so gorgeous and perfect for photos) and some of my favorite spots near the city building and courthouse.
As with most of my senior sessions, I mostly switch between my 50mm and 70-200mm lenses. Of course, for some extra fun, I like to use my Lensbaby Twist 60 or Omni Wands. You can shop this photography gear on my Amazon Store and you can grab LensBaby Gear for 20% off with code wPickens.
