Ebb and Flow Lactation is a private practice that was founded by Julie Gladney. When it comes to her work, Julie offers both personal and professional experience. Shortly after she had her first baby, she noticed just how much bad advice there was out there for new moms. So, she decided it was time to change that! Now, she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with nearly two decades spent assisting families across Ohio. When you book her for your care, you can look forward to non-judgmental assistance completely tailored to your needs.
Services
Julie offers personalized appointments inside of her cozy Athens office. If you are a new client, you can schedule a visit that will last up to two hours. During this time, she will perform an assessment of both you and your baby. This might include observing a feeding, weighing your baby, and performing a physical examination. You will have a safe space to ask any questions and receive advice that has been personalized to you. From there, she will draft up a care plan with actionable steps that should quickly lead to happier feedings!
Following your appointment, you will have the option of scheduling a follow-up with Ebb and Flow Lactation. This visit will last between 60 and 90 minutes. You can chat about any challenges and receive an updated plan for better results.
Julie works in-network with plans such as Anthem, Aetna, Medical Mutual of Ohio, and Meritain. If you need, she can schedule a virtual visit so you can enjoy her services without leaving your home!

During your pregnancy, you can schedule a prenatal assessment where you can chat about any concerns you might have with breastfeeding.
