Mother-Daughter Session at Click Away Conference in Dana Point, California

I recently had the amazing opportunity to attend the Click Away photography conference in Dana Point, California. While I was there, I was lucky enough to attend a class all about shooting in full sun, taught by the extremely talented Twyla Jones. I personally love to shoot at golden hour or in beautiful back light situations, but sometimes that just isn’t possible. Especially considering the fact that I shoot my own kids everyday, and quite frankly a lot of our lives happen in full sun! And even though we had some clouds and not always a harsh sun, it was still so great to watch Twyla work and get some of her tips for dealing with full sun.

We had the most beautiful mother-daughter models for our session! Could these two be any more gorgeous?!?

And even though we were hoping for a bright, sunny sun, I’m certainly not going to complain about the crazy beautiful clouds and sky that we had that day.

We all could not get over how much the mom looked like Jessica Biel? Am I right?

This was my first time ever being in California, but I always love shooting on the beach. Dana Point was amazing because not only did we have this gorgeous sand and ocean, but we had these mountains off in the background.
