Ember of Light Doula Services is a center that was founded by Abby Kerby to give moms the support they deserve. Her calling to the field started after the delivery of her daughter, when she felt as though she didn’t have control over her own experience. Throughout her second pregnancy, she decided she wanted to change this and read everything she could possibly find to teach her how to prepare. Then, for her third birth, she decided that she wanted to try to deliver at home. Following a successful home birth, she decided she wanted to empower others to have this same experience. Today, she takes a faith-based approach to her work, teaching women how to trust the divine nature of birth.
Services
Ember of Light Doula Services gives you several options for her support. If you could just use a friend to help you feel prepared for your delivery, her prenatal coaching is just the thing! With this option, you are going to essentially learn all the basics you need to know for your delivery, including the stages of labor, how to prepare your partner, how to advocate for yourself, and what to expect once your baby arrives. For those who want birth support, you can upgrade your services to include either in-person or virtual care. With this, she will be by your side to provide physical comfort measures, emotional support, and encouragement for your partner. No matter what your birth story looks like, she will ensure you feel empowered through every step!
Specialty
Once your baby arrives, Ember of Light postpartum doula care will be a total lifesaver! You can choose between 3- or 9-hour sessions. She will be there to provide you with both emotional and hands-on support. Whether you want guidance for taking care of your newborn or some practical help around the house, she is going to make sure you never feel like you have to do it all on your own.
