Tonight was the Wood County wrestling tournament. This also happens to be the 50th Anniversary for the tournament, so they had a special ceremony for all the previous champions.
They invited everyone who had won a championship back to be introduced during the open ceremonies. This is Nathan as they were announcing him and reading about the years he won.
Here’s a picture of the circle of champions all out on the mat.
After the ceremony, they all lined up in the bleechers for a photo-op.
Since Nathan happens to be one of the few three-time champions, he was also asked to be a presenter to this years winners.
He got to give them each their medals and shake their hands.
I was so proud of him.
They made these neat programs with info about each of the champions and tournament history. Nathan also got a medal to commemorate the occasion.
