City Park

Younger kids will be able to spend hours cooling off under the buckets, racing down the water slide, and jumping over the spigots. While Southwood Park might not have a traditional splash pad, this is still a favorite spot to keep cool for families all across the Parkersburg area. There are a few different things to love about this location. First of all, their swimming pool was designed for all ages. You can relax in the shallow area or let older kids try out their diving board skills on the roped-off deep end. If your child is looking for added thrills, their waterslide is ideal! The structure was built into the hill, giving kids a safe way to tear across the park before landing in a shallow pool at the end.
Vienna Swimming Pool

Just next door in Vienna, the swimming pool is the ideal destination to escape the Parkersburg, WV summer heat! This park has so much to offer, from its tot-friendly playground to its authentic 1950s fighter jet. Once you are done exploring the property, you can head on over to the pool, where you can splash around, swim laps, or let your child try out the water slide. The park requires a small fee for kids ages 3 and up. They have special sensory times outside of their regular hours.
