Septic Tank

Today we installled our septic tank. The tank is a cement tank that we ordered. It is a two-chamber system. We were required to have a 1000 gallon tank, but we decided to go with a 1500 gallon tank just for some extra assurance.

The leach field is made of these plastic chambers.

Schedule forty pipe connects the different runs.

We have a total of 80 chambers. There are 3 lines that are 100 ft long and then one section that is 25 ft long.

The health department wasn’t able to come out and inspect the system today, so unfortunately we have to leave it uncovered over night. The dozer guy placed both of his buckets on top of it to help weigh it down in case it rains tonight.
