City Park

City Park is located on 46 acres and offers no shortage of fun things to do in Parkersburg, WV! During the summer, you can grab your suits and hit up the public pool. Once the colder weather arrives, you can check out the Cabin Museum or play a game inside on the basketball courts. This is the largest park in all of Parkersburg and features the most amenities to ensure you never get bored! 

Southwood Park

2140 Belmont Road, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101

Southwood Park is a scenic space located on 27 acres. While this one might offer a few less amenities than City Park, you are never going to feel like you are missing out! This place offers a walking trail, a public pool (with a waterslide!), multiple playgrounds, and sports courts. Additionally, they have a stocked pond where they host an annual fishing derby. 

Fort Boreman Park

1042 Fort Boreman Drive, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101

Fort Boreman Park is one of the newest parks in all of Wood County, offering modern amenities in a historically significant place in Parkersburg, WV. This park served as a Civil War site, and the county has worked hard to preserve its legacy. During your time here, you will be able to rest at one of multiple shelters as your child plays nearby on the playground. 

Spencer Park

28th Street and 8th Avenue, Vienna, West Virginia 26105

If you need a Parkersburg, WV area space that is a little less overwhelming, I think you might love Spencer Park. This neighborhood destination is located just next to the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and serves as the location for community events like ice cream socials and music fests. The site features playgrounds and sports courts.

Jackson Memorial Park

Rosemar Road and Jackson Park Drive, Vienna, West Virginia 26105

Jackson Memorial Park is a sprawling destination that features sports courts, a swimming pool, and play equipment. While all of this is undoubtedly amazing, it’s their on-site 1950s fighter jet that has made this a favorite destination for people all across the valley!
