One of my digital designers, Carina is hosting Project Mania for the month of September. I have a list of projects that I’ve been meaning to get to or at least blog about, so I’m taking this opportunity to work on some of them and play along. So hopefully, you will get see and read about some fun cool projects this month.
In order to formerly kick off Project Mania, I thought I would start by sharing some of the quilt projects that I have finished up recently.
This quilt was done with Moda’s At Water’s Edge fabric line and a fairly simple pattern.
The blocks are a mix of different patterns and even some chenille blocks for added texture.
We mitered the edges of the inside border so the pattern would actually turn the corner and continue with its edge. This may not look like a big deal, but it took some thinking and careful sewing, and I’m pretty proud of how it turned out.
The back is a small gold print
We had this quilted on the long-arm machine at Red Rooster Quilts. They do such an amazing job! We chose an all-over paisely pattern to coordinate with the fabric.
