Becoming a Click Pro

One of the absolute greatest accomplishments of my photography career was being selected as a Click Community Mentor. The Click Community is an online community of photographers that brings women together, cheers you on, and gives you the resources you need to take more photos you love. As a mentor we are selected for our artistic and technical abilities, our knowledge of our craft, and our deep desire to give back to this community. I’m in several photography groups and communities, and there is none other like that of Click Community and Click Pro. Ask questions, receive constructive feedback on your photos, and get advice on everything from shooting to editing to business – anytime, from anywhere.

What is the Click Community?

Click Community, formerly Clickin Moms, is an incredible community where photographers can go to learn skills that will help you achieve your photography goals.  This covers everything from tutorials, challenges, a forum where you can ask questions and get constructive feedback, have access to a library to help you start and scale your photography business, and grow into the next level photographer you want to be!  I am a Click Community Mentor, and it is such a rewarding environment for women to grow their skills and business.

If you are not a member yet, you can join here! It will be the best investment you can make for your business this year.

“As a member, you’ll get advice from the pros, exclusive resources, and a community of women who love photography as much as you do.” – the Click Community

What is a ClickPro?

Click Community describes ClickPro as “a women’s organization of professional photographers and highly skilled artists whose work demonstrates creativity, vision, and artistic and technical excellence.”  ClickPro is a community of Advanced Photographers and you have to apply to get in!  You will submit your application and  a portfolio of 150 images that will be graded by the ClickPro Director and a panel of judges (other Click and Co. staff).  Your work will be scored on a scale of 1-6 on these 7 standards:

  • Exposure
  • Use of Light
  • Color and White Balance
  • Composition
  • Processing and Cohesion
  • Technical Basics
  • Creativity and Intention

How to Prepare Your ClickPro Portfolio

As a Click Community Mentor and ClickPro Elite, I have reviewed lots of portfolios.  I also co-lead two ClickPro prep groups and have helped so many photographers find the skills and resources to meet their goals. To prepare your portfolio for your ClickPro Application, I offer 1:1 Mentoring and Portfolio Reviews for aspiring ClickPros.

ClickPro Portfolio Review

After gathering a portfolio of up to 150 images, I will review and critique the images providing you with detailed ideas for how to improve. We will then discuss your individual strengths/weaknesses and your complete body of work. I will help you see your areas of growth and set up various goals to improve who you are as an artist.

1:1 Mentoring Sessions

Each session is customized to your needs. I am an open book and will answer any & all questions you may have. We can get you confident shooting in manual, learn new photography techniques, or watch me edit. I will walk you through how I prep my clients, ways to capture everyday, beautiful moments of your own children, and how to “see the light”!
