.) We are NOT moved in yet. I really thought we would be this weekend, but it just didn’t work out. They are still having some issues with the paint. Basically when they go back and try to touch-up any spots on the wall, the paint doesn’t match. They’ve been working with Sherwin Willams, but as of yet they haven’t gotten anything worked out. We just didn’t see any reason to move a bunch of stuff in if they still have painting to do around it. The good news is that touch up painting is just about the only thing left to do.

.) Karen. I mentioned last week that DHD was getting a new designer. I am so excited to announce that Karen Funk’s kits are now available at DHD. I’ve known Karen for awhile now, because before she was a designer she was actually a Decorator at DHD. She has released some amazing kits this week, and they are all on sale through Sunday, so be sure to check out her shop.

.) Microwave. We found out this week that our microwave doesn’t work. It won’t even power on. Lovely, huh? I can’t believe how many things come broken or wrong, it just baffles me. We are getting a new one delivered on Wednesday.

.) Mascara. I’ve been trying to find a new mascara for awhile now. First I tried the L’Oreal Double Extend. It actually looked pretty good on, but I didn’t like how the tips came off. Sometimes they came off throughout the day, and they were very messy to remove at the end of the day. Then I tried L’Oreal Voluminous; it smeared terribly! By the end of my work day, I looked like a racoon. I hate to waste anything, but I hated this mascara so much I couldn’t even finish using the one tube I bought. Then one day I asked my good friend Kyla what kind she used. Her eyelashes always look great, and when she did Kaitlyn’s makeup for Kyle and Katy’s wedding, her eyes looked amazing! She recommended Cover Girl Lash Blast. So far, I love it! Its not clumpy and doesn’t smear at all during the day. Thanks Kyla!

.) NYC. Mom and I are planning a weekend trip to New York for the end of September. We had some airplane vouchers, so we decided to have a little get-away. Anyone have a good Broadway play they can recommend?
