P365

Uncategorized

I’m working on a project called P365. The basic idea is to take a photo a day and keep some kind of record/journal about it. The photo doesn’t have to be anything glamorous or perfect. The concept is more about capturing and documenting your everyday life and not just the big moments like birthdays and holidays.

I haven’t really mentioned anything about it yet, because I wasn’t really sure if I would be able to make the commitment to it, but I’m giving it a try and so far I really like it. The important thing to remember is not to stress out if you don’t actually take a photo every day! Just figure out something that will mark that day or how you felt. That’s my approach at least.

I know I’ve been slacking in the Five on Friday posts lately, but this should probably help to supplement my weekly recaps. Here are my first three layouts.

The first one is from New Year’s eve.

We drove to Athens tonight and saw Avatar in 3-D! It was seriously awesome. I?m not really a fan of sci-fi, but this was actually a really good movie.

I had the world?s worst headache today. I pretty much just laid around with a pillow on my head or slept all day long.

I almost poisoned my husband today. It?s no secret that I?m not an amazing cook, but tonight was worse than normal. For some reason I read the convection oven instructions instead of the conventional ones. Of course, Nathan had eaten half of a piece of chicken before we realized the chicken wasn?t done ? in fact it was really underdone!

The appraisal for our Hugh Street house is scheduled for today. It is the last major hurdle we have before closing on the sale. We are praying that everything goes well, and that maybe this can be the last time we have to clean our house and have it looking immaculate in order to show it to perfect strangers.

We are leaving for our ski trip early tomorrow morning, so today we are packing our bags and getting everything ready. As you can see, I believe in lots and lots of layers and plenty of snacks.

We went skiing at Wisp today. We had a bit of an adventure getting there, including a flat tire and a long wait on the side of the road, but we had a lot of fun once we finally made it. The weather was great and there was a fresh layer of powder on the slopes. We all had a very full day of fun, and the boys even skied right up until they closed down the lifts. The roads were horrible when we headed home, so we drove around trying to find a half-way decent hotel to stay at and eventually ended up in Morgantown at Leah?s apartment. Again, it was a very long day ? but definitely one full of memories and good times despite it all. 219_3

I have to admit that I would not be doing this well with my P365 project if it wasn’t for DHD. They have a Design 365 Forum over there where we are sharing ideas and helping to keep each other motivated. It has really been fun to see everyone’s layouts.

DHD also has an entire line of Design 365 products that make the scrapbooking part easy. They have fun templates and different date stamps and stuff. You can check it all out here: Project 365
